A window of colour to look at sunday through
Hold a piece of coloured paper up to the light, and you'll discover something children understand right away: the world changes colour depending on how you look at it. That simple idea is the starting point for the Multicolor Stained Glass Workshop, taking place at Museum of Illusions Madrid on Sunday, 20 September, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
There's nothing to bring from home. The museum provides everything each child needs to build their own composition of light, piece by piece.
No two pieces come out the same here. Each scrap of colour is placed however the child chooses, with no template or instructions to follow, so the result depends entirely on who's making it. Maybe that's why the workshop feels less like a craft activity and more like a small, homemade experiment with light.
The activity is included in museum admission and requires no prior booking: just show up during the scheduled time.
